1 Day MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID FOR UK STUDY ABROAD

Description
While this course follows the same format as our half-day MHFA course, it provides a more in-depth exploration of the subject, offering participants a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of mental health first aid tailored to the UK study abroad context. The primary aim of this course is to equip participants to confidently and competently provide Mental Health First Aid to students in study abroad programs. By the end of the session, participants will not only have a solid grasp of the mental health challenges unique to the study abroad experience but also be equipped with practical skills to effectively support students facing distress. This course further covers essential cultural sensitivities and UK-specific legal considerations, ensuring participants are prepared to respond with awareness, professionalism, and respect. The expanded content provides greater confidence, more nuanced understanding, and stronger preparedness to handle complex situations effectively, benefiting both participants and the students they support.
