MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID
This e-learning course is designed to equip staff in the international and study abroad sector with the skills to recognise, respond to, and support student mental health concerns safely and effectively.
Description
This Mental Health First Aid e-learning course has been specifically developed for university staff, placement managers, and student support teams working with international and study abroad cohorts. It provides a clear and practical framework for understanding student mental health, recognising early signs of distress, and responding in a supportive and appropriate manner.
Participants will build confidence in identifying common mental health conditions, initiating sensitive conversations, and understanding when and how to refer students to appropriate support services. The course also emphasises the importance of self-care for staff, ensuring they are able to support others while maintaining their own wellbeing.
