CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS
This Child Protection course will provide your staff with the essential knowledge and skills on how to protect and safeguard children from abuse. It’s crucial for anyone who has regular contact with children and young people or staff working in the education sector to take this online training course.
Description
Child protection is protecting children and young people from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect, and keeping them safe from harm to ensure they grow up in a safe and supportive environment. This Child Protection course teaches your staff how to identify if a child may be vulnerable to abuse, the types of abuse, how to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse, the need for effective record keeping and reporting, and understand their duty of care. Upon successful completion, you will be able to download and print their basic awareness Child Protection certificate. The Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) estimated that one in five adults aged 18 to 74 years experienced at least one form of child abuse, whether emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, or witnessing domestic violence or abuse, before the age of 16 years (8.5 million people). Ensure your staff know how to spot the signs and symptoms and the correct procedure for reporting if an incident occurs.
