Studying abroad can be an exciting and life-changing experience, allowing students to become more independent, expand their horizons and gain a fresh global perspective. It can also be daunting; adapting to living in a new country, being away from support networks, experiencing different cultures, and adjusting to new systems of learning.
Description
This course will give learners the chance to identify the challenges of living in a new cultural environment and identify opportunities to develop independence and personal skills. Learners will be able to think about the benefits to being open to new experiences, cultures, and people. The course will also enable the learner to recognise where, when and how to get support.

The aim of this workshop is to gain knowledge of culture shock, the stages and how to recognise it.
